The internet is a vast resource of information. It is how we connect to each other and share the goings on in the world around us. We build communities within this network, one of which being the anime and manga group.
There are a few trusted staple sites among the plethora that many fans visit. I know I’ve visited Anime News Network countless times in the past so it was quite surprising when I typed in the domain and came up blank.
After investigating this for a little while, according to one Redit post, the site was hacked. What does this mean for members of the forums? How much damage was done? I’m not sure, but hopefully this will be resolved soon.
For now, fans of the site can reach a different version of the site by clicking here.
Other “staple” sites like Kotaku don’t seem to have been hit.
